Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you want to know about working with a local marketing strategist — answered honestly and without the agency spin.
About My Services
What services do you offer?
I offer three core service packages designed to help small businesses improve their online visibility — from foundational local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization to full digital marketing strategy. Visit the Services & Pricing page to explore each package in detail.
Who do you typically work with?
I work primarily with small business owners in the Upper Valley and greater New Hampshire area who want to grow their local presence online without the overwhelm of a large agency.
Do you work with businesses outside of New Hampshire?
Yes! While my focus is on hyper-local marketing in small-town and rural markets, the strategies I use translate well to similar communities anywhere. If you’re not local but feel like we’d be a good fit, I’d love to connect on a Discovery Call.
What makes you different from a large marketing agency?
You work directly with me — not a junior account manager. I specialize in small-town and community-driven businesses, which means I understand the relationship dynamics, word-of-mouth culture, and local trust signals that big agencies often overlook.
Do you offer one-time projects or ongoing support?
Both! Some clients prefer a focused one-time engagement like the Foundational Intensive, while others benefit from ongoing monthly support. We’ll figure out what makes sense for your situation on the Discovery Call.
Getting Started
How do I get started?
The best first step is booking a free Discovery Call. We’ll talk through where your business is now, what’s holding you back, and whether we’re a good fit to work together.
What does a Discovery Call look like?
It’s a relaxed, no-pressure 20–30 minute conversation. I’ll ask about your business goals, current online presence, and what you’ve tried before. You’ll leave with at least one clear next step, regardless of whether we work together.
Do I need to have a big budget to work with you?
Not necessarily. My packages are designed to deliver real ROI for small businesses, not just large ones. During our Discovery Call, I’ll be upfront about whether the investment makes sense for where you are right now.
What information should I have ready before the Discovery Call?
It helps to have a general sense of your monthly revenue, your biggest marketing frustration, and what you’ve already tried. But don’t stress — we’ll figure it out together.
Results & Expectations
How long does it take to see results?
It depends on your starting point and the package you choose, but most clients begin seeing measurable improvements in local search visibility within 60–90 days of consistent work.
Can you guarantee results?
No ethical marketer can guarantee specific rankings or revenue numbers — and you should be cautious of anyone who does. What I can guarantee is a clear strategy, transparent reporting, and honest communication throughout our work together.
How will I know if it’s working?
We’ll establish baseline metrics at the start and track progress together. Depending on your package, this includes Google Business Profile insights, local search rankings, website traffic, and lead volume.
What if I’ve already tried marketing and it didn’t work?
That’s actually one of the most common situations I work with. Before we do anything new, I’ll audit what’s been done and figure out why it didn’t land — so we’re not repeating the same mistakes.
Practical Questions
How do we communicate during a project?
Primarily via email, with scheduled check-in calls depending on your package. I keep things streamlined so you’re not drowning in Slack messages or endless meetings.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
Monthly packages have a 3-month minimum to allow enough time to see meaningful results. After that, we go month-to-month. One-time projects have no ongoing commitment.
What do you need from me to get started?
Access to your Google Business Profile, website, and any existing analytics accounts. Beyond that, about 1–2 hours per month of your time for reviews and approvals.
Do you offer refunds?
Because my work is strategy and time-based, I don’t offer refunds once work has begun. That’s why the Discovery Call matters — it’s how we both make sure it’s the right fit before committing.
